The artists
- Anne-Catherine Bucher clavecin, parole
Seize the opportunity to hear a unique and once-forgotten instrument, in this short, informal Midi-Baroque recital.
Using an instrument specially constructed for her by master harpsichord maker Émile John, harpsichordist Anne-Catherine Bucher will demonstrate the sounds and repertoire of the extraordinary «pantalon». This remarkable keyboard instrument, whose strings are struck by wooden hammers, was much admired by King Louis IV of France.
