Coming from all over the world, exceptional young musicians meet in the Grand Duchy for two years of intensive training as part of the Luxembourg Philharmonic's signature Academy.
Expertly curated by the Philharmonie Team, this incubator has seen its first alumni join some of the most prestigious ensembles in Europe. From concerts to recordings and tours with the orchestra, including individual projects, self-development workshops, personalised mentoring and co-living, the programme strives to develop mature and sensitive personalities, capable of invigorating the classical scene with fresh interpretive insights.

What does the Luxembourg Philharmonic Academy offer?
- Opportunity to perform in concerts, recordings and tours as a member of the Luxembourg Philharmonic for 20 weeks per season
- Opportunity to participate in chamber music projects and private concerts
- Mentoring sessions with your personal mentor and other members of the Luxembourg Philharmonic
- Tailor-made coaching sessions and workshops ranging from public speaking to stress management
- Audition training to prepare for your further career
- A stipend of 1.523,40 €/month, health insurance and free public transportation in Luxembourg
- Housing with other Academicians in one of two newly renovated houses in the heart of Luxembourg City
- A participation certificate at the end of the programme
Am I eligible to apply?
You are eligible to apply if you are 27 years old or younger on the day of the audition and hold a Bachelor’s degree (or are in the final year of a BA programme).

The Luxembourg Philharmonic Academy has seen its first alumni join some of the most prestigious ensembles in Europe, such as the Orchestre National du Capitole de Toulouse, the Orchestre Philharmonique Royal de Liège, and of course the Luxembourg Philharmonic.
