Philharmonie by night from the outside

Calendar, seat categories, special discounts, opening times… The Box Office team has compiled all the necessary information to take you from choosing your concert to actually experiencing it live.

Purchasing individual tickets

We’re delighted that you’re considering attending one of our events. We’d like to draw your attention to a few details around the process of booking individual tickets.

How do I book my tickets?

Booking a ticket is very easy! From 10:00 on the day sales begin for your chosen event and up to five minutes before the start of the event, you may purchase tickets in the following ways:

  • Online, once you’ve chosen an event you like, simply click «Book your tickets» and you will be redirected to our webshop where you can complete your purchase. You will be able to select your seat and apply any discount you qualify for. If you have any voucher to redeem, you will also be able to use it then.
  • By visiting us in person at the Information & Billetterie.
  • By calling (+352) 26 32 26 32 during the hours of operation mentioned above.

If you are 30 years of age or under, note that you can also book last-minute 10 € tickets from the Phil30 app. For more information, please visit our dedicated page or get in touch with the Information & Billetterie Team.

When do sales open?

When a new season begins, not all events in our calendar are immediately available to book. We release tickets in a staggered manner throughout the season, month by month.

On-sale dates can be found directly underneath the programme information for each concert and on the «Memo» pages at the start of each month in your Musical Diary. So, if ticket sales haven’t opened yet for your chosen concert, don’t forget to make a note of that date or, better yet, to add it to your favourites via your My Philharmonie account. You will then receive an automated reminder when sales are about to open, so you don’t miss out on the event you’ve been looking forward to.

I’ve lost my tickets. Can I get new ones?

Those things happen and our team is here to help. In this kind of situation, there are two possible scenarios:

  • E-tickets: After ordering, you had initially received your tickets by e-mail. Whether you lost track of that message, deleted it by mistake or it got buried in your spambox, you should be able to re-print your e-tickets by logging in to My Philharmonie account.
  • Printed tickets: If you don’t have e-tickets and lost the tickets we had printed out for you, do get in touch with the Information & Billetterie and we will sort it.

Most importantly, don’t panic. You can always contact us by phone or email and your tickets will be sent back to you in any case.

Does the Philharmonie offer any gifting options?

Gift vouchers are available for any amount of your choice and for all events taking place at the Philharmonie, except those not organised by the Philharmonie itself. These vouchers are valid for two years. For more information, head over to our dedicated Gifting page

Where can I find a seating plan with the different price categories?

Right here! You can find a map of the Grand Auditorium, now divided in 4 categories: Premium cat., cat. I, cat. II, cat. III. And here is a map of the Salle de Musique de Chambre and its two categories (cat. I et cat. II).

Discounts and special schemes

Whether you are a frequent guest or a first-time visitor, there are many ways in which you can save and optimise the price of your ticket when booking a concert at the Philharmonie. Here is an overview of the various schemes and discounts we offer.

Subscriptions

With our subscriptions and flexible packages, you will receive a discount of 10% and more on individual tickets. For more information, head over to our Subscriptions page or to the dedicated tab in your Musical Diary.

Phil30: Same-day 10 € ticket

Phil30 is a special 10 € ticket offer and a ticketing app for those aged 30 and under. It is made possible by POST Luxembourg, who wants to empower the younger generation by allowing them to attend concerts at the Philharmonie at a bargain price. Whether classical, ciné-concert, jazz, world music or electro, a ticket purchased on the day of the concert will only cost you 10 €. Seats can be viewed and booked using the app from 10:00 until one hour before the event starts. During that final hour, discounted tickets will also be available directly from the Philharmonie’s Box Office.

For more information, head over to our dedicated Phil30 page or download the app to your mobile via the App Store or Google Play.

Discount <30 years

Concert-goers aged 30 and under are entitled to a 40% discount off individual ticket, subscription and flexible package prices for concerts organized by the Philharmonie, unless stated otherwise. Be ready to show your ID along with your ticket when entering the concert hall.

Kulturpass

The Kulturpass is a special 1,50 € ticket deal available to families or individuals living in Luxembourg who are entitled to support from the Fonds National de Solidarité (FNS), as well as to any person who has applied for international protection (please note the offer is not available online). It is valid for all events organised by the Philharmonie. For more information, please visit: www.kulturpass.lu

Free admission

When you see Free admission on an event's page, it means you don’t need to pay a fee or to hold a ticket to enter the performance hall, you can walk in freely and choose any seat you want. This is typically the case for our Lunch concerts, as well as some of our events for young audiences.

We know arriving empty-handed might feel odd, but don’t worry: just embrace it and, most importantly, enjoy yourself!

Last-minute tickets

Even when a concert appears completely sold-out, there’s often a chance some tickets might be left to snatch. These won’t appear on our website but can be obtained if you come down in person to the evening box office starting from one hour before the event.

As we said though, these are never guaranteed and not all our concerts have an evening box office. It’s always safer to give the Information & Billetterie a ring during office hours before getting your hopes too high. Also note that, most of the time, these are standing tickets offered. We offer them at a reduced price, but make sure you’re comfortable with the idea of being on your legs for approximately 90 minutes straight before getting one.

Ensemble au concert

The Fondation EME promotes the inclusion of the most vulnerable members of our society through the universal language of music. With its new «Ensemble au concert» initiative, the Fondation provides charities and care institutions with free tickets to selected concerts at the Philharmonie. Depending on beneficiaries’ specific needs, exclusive tours of the Philharmonie and chamber concerts may also be organised.

For more information, get in touch with the Fondation EME at [email protected] or at (+352) 26 02 27 465. You can also visit our page dedicated to the Fondation EME here.
