Final Presentation Concert

Zoeys (singendes) Tagebuch – Circus in my Mind will be prepared in advance in coaching sessions with the school and community choirs by Simon Halsey and the singers of the WDR Rundfunkchor. Then it's time for the youth choirs, the WDR Rundfunkchor and teenager Zoey to take to the stage. Her emotional life resembles a circus: one minute as colourful and funny as a clown's prank, then as bizarre and magical as a magic trick, the next it resembles a daring and frightening acrobatic act. When Zoey falls in love, she first has to find her balance again. Under the direction of choral conductor Simon Halsey, the young and adult amateur singers embark on a musical journey through the emotional world of an adolescent who is trying to cope with the ups and downs of life, together with the professional ensemble of WDR. In the end, she realises that it can also be nice to hang upside down on the trapeze. One just has to dare.
