With Mark Anthony Turnage, jazz is never very far away.
At the initiative of the London Symphony Orchestra and the Philharmonie Luxembourg, the British composer will be reuniting with jazz guitarist John Scofield, to whom he has dedicated a concerto for his instrument. There will also be a reunion between Sir Simon Rattle and Krystian Zimerman following their highly acclaimed recording, with the LSO, of Ludwig van Beethovenās complete piano concertos, the fourth of which they will be performing here.
