«This work shall be dedicated to nobody, save those who find pleasure in it»,

Franz Schubert is said to have told his publisher regarding his Second Piano Trio. It is safe to say that with Rudolf Buchbinder, Nikolaj Szeps-Znaider and Gautier Capuçon, there will be plenty of pleasure to be had at this concert featuring the composer’s piano trios, the second of which Robert Schumann described as «an angry meteor blazing forth and outshining everything in the musical atmosphere of the time.»

Note: Hilary Hahn regrettably had to withdraw from this concert as advised by her medical team due to the potential for hindering her recovery.
