About «résonances»

While they toured for the first time with Johann Sebastian Bach’s Musical Offering,

it is no less precious an offering that the Ricercar Consort have in store for the Philharmonie audience this time, with an evening devoted entirely to 17th-century British music for the viola da gamba. Conducted from his instrument by founder and artistic director Philippe Pierlot, six gambists will be exploring this little-known repertoire, giving expression to the name of their ensemble, «Ricercar» («to seek») as they pursue the remembrance of things past.
