I. Andante sostenuto moderato - con animo

Their «Fiesta» album earned rave reviews on its release,

and indeed, Venezuelan music will be at the centre of this second concert by the Simón Bolívar Symphony Orchestra of Venezuela conducted by its music director Gustavo Dudamel. Among other works, the programme includes a piece by Gonzalo Grau featuring the cuatro, a specifically Venezuelan instrument, followed by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky’s Fourth Symphony on the theme of fate. An explosive cocktail of classical music and mambo!
