The music of these countries has always been an important part the Philharmonieā€™s programming, and the heart-warming autumn festival Ā«atlĆ¢nticoĀ» pays homage to this legacy. Over a full week of concerts and events catering to all age groups, we open our doors to numerous artists from across the Portuguese-speaking world, and symbolically also to a significant portion of Luxembourgā€™s population.

About «résonances»

Blending fado and jazz with both modernity and respect,

pianist JĆŗlio Resende Ā«does with Fado what Keith Jarrett did with jazz standardsĀ» (El PaĆs). In this year marking the fiftieth anniversary of the Carnation Revolution, his reinvention of a style that has come to symbolise Portugal seems more relevant than ever: a fitting musical tribute to the sons and daughters of 25 April.
