About «résonances»

Prokofiev, Ravel and Shostakovich off the beaten track.

In its first concert of the season, the Luxembourg Philharmonic presents some unusual works by three established composers. Maurice Ravel enchants the audience with a musical tale for children, Sergei Prokofiev injects his Symphony N° 3 with excerpts from an opera that was never performed in his lifetime, and Dmitri Shostakovich surprises us with a piano concerto that includes a trumpet solo, making it seem almost like a double concerto.

The concert will be recorded by radio 100,7 and broadcast live and on 15.01.2025.
