What you’ll hear and see

The music

  • Modeste Moussorgski Tableaux d'une exposition (Bilder einer Ausstellung) (arr. Cameron Carpenter)

The artists

  • Cameron Carpenter organ

Cameron Carpenter has created an evening in his own image

with his arrangement for organ of Modest Mussorgsky’s Pictures at an Exhibition, originally conceived by the composer as a pianistic promenade through a series of paintings. The man who was sometimes dubbed the enfant terrible of the organ invites the audience to join him on a veritable soundwalk, as he unveils the infinite palette of colours offered by the Philharmonie’s Schuke organ.
