You thought you were coming to the Philharmonie Luxembourg?

Le Poème Harmonique and its conductor Vincent Dumestre will be taking you to the Palais du Louvre for a plunge into the 17th century when, as the musician reminds us, Versailles «was still no more than a hamlet». With court ballets, drinking tunes, popular songs, chamber music and even Italian opera, which had only just arrived in France at the time, this concert sets out to tell the musical story of one of the world’s most famous landmarks.
