A sensual drama set in the 1920s Berlin underworld:
filmed in the legendary Babelsberg studios, Asphalt is a graphic and activist work by German film pioneer Joe May. This love story set against a backdrop of urban chaos, in which the asphalt is a genuine character, will be musically illustrated by the keyboards of Francesco Tristano and Hayato Sumino, the new Japanese piano sensation.
