A true luminary of Indian music,

Amjad Ali Khan is a respected master of the sarod, a plucked string instrument similar to the sitar whose name, of Persian origin, means «melody». In this case, melodic inspiration and rhythmic mastery are at the service of the ancestral tradition of the râgas. Coming from a long line of musicians, he is perpetuating the family tradition by performing on stage with his two sons.
